Byzantine Hippodrome: The center for entertainment, amusement and sports in the city during the Roman and Byzantine Empires. The Egyptian Obelisk, the serpentine column and the German fountain of Willhelm II are sites to be visited.
Blue Mosque: The Sultan Ahmed Mosque, one of the most revered masterpieces of the Islamic world, is famous with its blue ceramic tiles and six minarets.
Grand Bazaar: The oldest and the largest covered market place in the world with more almost 4000 shops owing rich collection of handmade carpets, jewelery, leather and souvenirs.
Topkapi Palace: The former imperial residence of Ottoman Sultans and the oldest and the largest remaining palaces in the world. Today, it is used as a museum to exhibit works of art and manypriceless artifacts. The harem section is not included in this tour.
Underground Cistern: The cistern was known in Byzantium as thebasilica Cistern, Justinian wasthe founder of the largest underground cistern, built after the Nika Revolt in 532.The number ofthe inhabitants ofConstantinople increased and bring a problem of water supply. Basilica Cistern was used to store water for the Great Palace.

What to Bring & Wear?
This tour includes a visit to mosque. Ladies and gentlemen are supposed to dress appropriately by covering their shoulders and ensure coverage past their knees. Ladies will have to cover their heads. Scarves are available for ladies and also for gentlemen, if they have shorts, at the entrance of the mosque, but feel free to bring your own scarf to use.
As this is a walking tour you need comfortable shoes.
We use the private minibuses for transfers only so we are not able to keep any carry on bags in the vehicle. You need to leave them at the airport at “Left Luggage Desk”.

Schedule
